It was a successful road trip to Weston Ranch on Friday night, Sept. 27 as both the varsity and JV football Mustangs came home with wins.
That lifted both teams to 2-0 marks in Valley Oak League play. The JV is now 6-0 overall, the varsity improved to a 4-2 record.
At the varsity level, the victory was a decisive 63-22 win.
“Dom McDonald returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown. Overall played well,” head coach Trent Merzon said when contacted for information and comment about the contest. “Big game this week vs. Manteca.”
The JV score was reported as a 49-6 win but a request made to coaches for additional game information by The Leader was not returned by press time.
No information was provided regarding the freshman game.
