A pair of Oakdale Soccer Club Teams – the 2014 Girls Competitive Team and the 2009 Competitive OSC Stallions U13 girls – have built up impressive résumés during the course of their recent campaigns.

With hard work and determination, the younger girls brought home the first ever NorCal Premier League Championship for the Oakdale Soccer Club organization.

Following is a summary for the teams, as provided by OSC officials.

Oakdale Soccer Club is proud to share that our 2014 Girls Competitive team, along with their peers the 2009 Girls Competitive team, made Oakdale Soccer Club history this past spring season.

2014: This young but mighty team brought home OSC’s first ever NorCal Premier League Championship. The 2014G competed in the NorCal Premier League Region 8 - U8G (Under 8 Girls) Division. They not only won the championship, but they ended the season undefeated with a record of eight wins, no losses, and one tie (8-0-1) and walked away with a goal differential of 73 goals forced and only six goals allowed. In addition to their regular league play the 2014G team also participated in three 3-game NorCal playdates continuing their undefeated streak on the field throughout those games as well bringing their overall record for the season to 17 wins, no losses, and one tie (17-0-1) with an outstanding goal differential of 137 goals forced, with only 10 goals allowed.

Post-spring season these girls wanted to up their game and challenge themselves. They went on to participate in the San Jose Cup where they played up a division and participated in the U9 bracket. They took home second place with three shutout games of 6-0, 9-0 and 9-0 but faced a very tough team in the Championship Finals that resulted in their first loss. This was a very strong showing for their first tournament. All in all, OSC is very proud of these girls, they are not only setting records and making OSC history, but they are also forming lifelong bonds, heartwarming memories, and leaving everything on the field every time they step onto the pitch. Congratulations to the Oakdale Soccer Club’s 2014 Girls competitive team on all their accomplishments this past spring season. We are excited to see what else they can accomplish as they continue to grind, grow, and develop. We would love to see everyone on the sidelines cheering on Oakdale’s finest in the future.

Head Coach Richard Woods led the team that included: Paisley Asher, Julianna Cotton, Mariah Couto, Quinn Ensminger, Illiana Garcia, Eleanor Heinsaar, Dakota Larrabee, Anabelle Mercado, Leah Ramirez-Inurriaga, Kylie Thorburn, Braelyn Woods.

2009: In the fall 2021 season, the OSC Stallions U13 Girls won only one game, tying four, and losing four. They were scored on 16 times that season, but never gave up more than three goals in a game.

After a lot of hard work and dedication at practices, lots of team bonding and with support from their coaches they came back as a stronger team for the Spring 2022 season. They played the same teams as the previous season and went undefeated with eight wins and no losses. They scored a total of 26 goals and were only scored on twice. One team fundraiser that they participated in was the Oakdale Rodeo clean up, working together as a team to pick up trash Friday-Sunday after the rodeo. This was no small task, but they took it on with smiles on their faces and had an enjoyable time as a team. The funds from that fundraiser went towards their team competing at the Far West Presidents Cup in Phoenix, Arizona.

At the Presidents Cup they battled the best teams from each state in the West for their spot in the US Youth Soccer Nationals. With tough competition their team was knocked out of the running but still enjoyed the time they had there and had a great showing. Next year they will only come back stronger and plan on taking that spot at Nationals.

Head Coach Hector Padilla led the team that included: Siena Alley, Samantha Blanc, Peyton Burtschi, Cecelia Cotton, Kaia Cox, Catherin De Leon, Makenna Duenas, Samantha Gaines, Holly Healy, Cassidy Mitchell, Shelby Mitchell, Allison Olivera, Ashlyn Splettstoesser, Samantha Thorne, Mia Hernandez Vigil, Caitlin Walton, Cora White, Ella Wilson, Payton Winter. Assistant coaches were Sebastian DeSales and Cory Burtschi.

Both teams are scheduled to be recognized for their achievements by the City of Oakdale on Monday, July 18 at the regular Oakdale City Council meeting.
