Dear Editor,

It was another great year for the Love Oakdale event! I would like to thank everyone who donated their time and/or financial resources to support our community. This event showed that when our City is in need, the citizens come out to help. There were even people that live in other cities that showed up to help. The committee for Love Oakdale did a fantastic job. They are the heart and soul of this event. They spend countless hours working hard behind the scenes. Without them this day would not be possible. I would like to thank Pastor Kent Roberts for letting the committee use The River Church every year for meetings and always willing to lead. Next year I would like to see us increase our volunteers and I challenge all who live here in our great City to help out in any way big or small.
