Wanda Sue Duke, 76, of Oakdale, died Friday, March 29 at Oak Valley Hospital.
She was born in Tulsa, Okla., the daughter of Frank ‘Doc’ and Rosa Ellen Duke. She grew up in Oakdale, graduating from Oakdale Union High School in 1956.
In the summer of 1968, she married her best friend, William ‘Bill’ Douglas, and they remained lifelong companions. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and spending time with their family and friends.
She is survived by her lifetime partner, Bill Douglas of Oakdale; daughters, Sherie Cardoza of Ceres, Charlene (Don) Wilson of Ripon; twin sister, Betty Drader of Oakdale; younger sister, Linda Becker of Twain Harte; grandchildren, Jennifer Aguirre of Modesto, Kirk Jon Duncan of Turlock, Adaria Torres of Turlock; and great-grandchildren, Samantha and Lindsey Aguirre, Korbynn and Jadynne Duncan.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Duke; and her parents.
A graveside memorial service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 4 at Oaklawn Memorial Park, Oakdale.
