On Saturday July 16, 1955 Suzann (Sue) Gale made her grand entrance into this world. Born to Ward and Maryann Mercer in Pomona, California, she was the youngest of three children, welcomed home by big brother Mark and big sister Ginger. And on May 27, 2015 she again was welcomed home, this time into the arms of the Lord. She lost her battle with a debilitating disease after fighting valiantly for three and a half years. She is preceded in death by her parents and big brother Mark.
Sue was an amazing and dedicated wife, mother, step-mother, Nana, mother-in-law, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, John Gale; her children, Tracy Mota (Mario), Jason Gale (Jessica), Melissa Gale, Danel Beltran (Phillip) and her lifelong ‘diaper buddy’ and BFF, Connie Doll. You can see her love, smiles and future legacy in the faces of her grandchildren Tyler and Lindsey, Jaden and Jane, Kierstin, Brandon, Emily and Ryan.
Sue was always a caregiver. She was employed in the medical field for almost 20 years. She was always worried about others first. Always lending her expertise, education and love to anyone who might need it. She was always offering her help in times of need and becoming an honorary mother when necessary even to those who weren’t her own. She was always ready with a smile, a hug or just a simple compliment to brighten your day. Even in the throes of her illness, Sue was constantly thinking of others. She rarely complained and spent the last few months of her life celebrating priceless milestones with family members and being surrounded by love and laughter. A celebration of life to honor Sue will be held on Saturday, July 11th at The Gladys Lemmons Senior Center in Oakdale. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Heaven has truly gained an amazing soul. Psalm 116:15 (KJV) Precious in the sight of the LORD [is] the death of his saints.
