Ronald Morrow, 67, died Thursday, Aug. 16 in Oakdale.
He was born in Missouri to the late Jessie and Lena Morrow.
He was a resident of Oakdale for the past 12 years and previously of the Ripon/Manteca area for more than 50 years.
Mr. Morrow retired after 27 years of service from South San Joaquin Irrigation District as an Operations Water Superintendent.
He was a reserved, loving man who enjoyed boating, fishing, gardening and Nascar. He felt truly blessed to have such a wonderful family, extended family and close friends. He loved his family and friends dearly, he especially loved his black Lab companion ‘Tucker.’ He will be remembered as a loving, husband, father, and grandfather and will be truly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Janet Morrow; siblings, Gloria Black, Patsy Holly, Lynda ‘Susie’ Craytor; mother-in-law, Bessie Walker; three grandchildren, Kristin Williams, Robert Williams and Desiree Morrow; one great-grandchild, Anthony Dixon; and many other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved children, Ricky and Cheryl Morrow; brother-in-law, Gary Walker; father-in-law, Alex Walker; and great-nephew, Bryan DeHoog.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday Aug. 24 at P.L. Fry & Son, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca. Interment will be at a later date at Ripon Cemetery.
