Ronald C. Blevins, 72, died Friday, Feb. 22 in Modesto.

He was born in Oakland and lived in Oakdale since 1960.

He was the owner and operator of Oakdale Locksmith for nearly 30 years, where he came to be known as “the Key Man of Oakdale.”

Mr. Blevins was active in the community as a member of the Oakdale Lions Club, the Oakdale Sportsman’s Club, and the Central Valley Knights car club.

He enjoyed life, especially classic cars, camping, hunting, fishing, horses, anything to do with the mountains, talking with his friends, and most of all, spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of more than 52 years, Linda; sons, Randy and Michael; daughter, Tammy; daughter-in-law, Pam; brothers, Richard and Leo; sister, Barbara Hallum; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Evelyn and Virginia.

A celebration of life service will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 15 at the Gene Bianchi Community Center, 110 S. Second Ave., Oakdale.
