Patricia Coffey Johnson was born on January 30, 1938, in Chicago, IL and passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024, at her home in Oakdale, CA. She was baptized into the Catholic Church and remained an active parishioner, organist, Catechism teacher and YLI member until health issues prevented her from doing so. She attended Iowa State University where she met and married Richard “Doc” Harmon Johnson on May 30, 1959. She achieved her teaching credentials at Western Kentucky University and was a grade school librarian for the Oakdale Joint Unified School District for 25+ years. The only child of Ward and Norene Coffey, she happily accepted Doc’s seven sisters and brothers, along with all the sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews as her family. She loved them all and often hosted large family gatherings.
She is survived by her daughters Cathi and Debbie of Oakdale, son-in-law Fernando, grandchildren Jessica (Brian), Heath, Christian (Loryn), Dalton, Andrew (Rachel), Maya, and Edin, and great-grandchildren Kylia, Kayden, Eli, Lauren, Maddie, and Valerie.
