Sarah Marjorie Reeves, 89, died peacefully while surrounded by family on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Dale Commons in Modesto.
She was born to Sam and Therese Lerch in Merced and was a longtime resident of La Grange. An active member of the community, she served on the school board, was postmaster for several years, and was honored in 1993 as Homecoming Queen during the town’s annual celebration.
Marjorie was married to Bill Reeves for 65 years. The family is comforted knowing she has reunited with her beloved husband, whom she missed every day since his passing on Dec. 5, 2012. She was a loving mother to Daniel (Phyllis), David (Nicole), and Victoria Dickens. She was the best grandma to Kristi Reeves, Kimberli Condit, Stacy Reeves, Jennifer Rosen, Allen Reeves and Austin Dickens. She also had seven great grandchildren and became a great-great grandma for the third time just days before her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister JoAnn McCall.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the La Grange Cemetery.
