Maris ‘Renay’ Groves, 39, died Saturday, April 3.

She was born in Modesto and raised in Oakdale. She graduated from Oakdale High School.

Ms. Groves was a resident of the Manteca area for the past 10 years, where she worked as a cosmetologist.

She is survived by her children, Melissa Glow of Escalon, Jacob Glow of Manteca, Marissa Boone of Manteca; parents, Jake and Maris Tuhn of Oakdale; brothers, Keith Groves of Escalon and Eric Groves of Sonora; and five nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her niece, Haley Groves of Escalon; and several other family members.

A memorial will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, April 19 at the Church of Christ, 33 No. Lee Ave., Oakdale.
