Maria M Gomez, a cherished sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, went to be with our Lord and Savior on November 29, 2024, at the age of 72. She was born on February 27, 1952, in Mission, TX to Quierno and Bartola Villarreal. Maria leaves behind five daughters Cynthia Aldridge (Gilbert), Michelle Aldridge, Sylvia Aldridge, Tina Aldridge (Gabriel), Willeva Aldridge, 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, two sisters Raquel Villarreal, Amelia Villarreal, and two brothers Miguel Angel Villarreal, Armando Villarreal.

Maria’s family was her greatest joy, she took immense pride in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother, always cherishing the time she spent with her loved ones. She enjoyed going to the theaters weekly with her grandsons and nephew Damon. She also loved visiting the casinos and playing games on her iPad. Maria’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and kindness. She will be remembered for her love and warm heart, and her unwavering dedication to her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

In honoring Maria’s life, her family invites those who knew her to celebrate her life and the joy she brought into the world. There was a celebration of life at the Oakdale Memorial Chapel, on Saturday Dec. 12 at 10 a.m.; the celebration of life continued at 1225 13th Street, Modesto, CA.
