Marcell Dickens, 88, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 surrounded by his family.

He was born on September 20, 1930 to Albert and Maude Dickens and he had a younger brother, Kenny Dickens. He attended grammar school at Lone Tree School and went on to Oakdale High School, graduating in 1949.

He was involved in the Valley Home 4-H and it was there he met his wife, Kathy (Griesner) Dickens. They were married in 1962 and together raised four sons, Mark, Brian, Keith and Kevin.

There will be a viewing on Wednesday, January 16 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Oakdale Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be Thursday, January 17 at 10 a.m. at Burwood Cemetery on River Road, Escalon, followed by a gathering of friends and family at the Oakdale Rodeo Grounds.
