Mrs. Cambra was born on April 25, 1922 in Lemoore, California. She was the middle child of 11 children. During WWII she worked as a “Rosie the Riveter” with her sister Lucille. They are listed in the “Rosie the Riveter” Museum in Richmond, California and the National Website. She was a devoted wife for 60 years until Steven, the Love of Her Life passed away in 2004. They had a dairy in Oakdale and then in Valley Home for 15 years. She also worked at Oakdale Poultry and Hunts Cannery.

Mrs. Cambra was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Oakdale and was a member of the Young Ladies Institute (YLI). Madeline is deeply loved and survived by her two children; daughter Shirley Pikula and son-in-law Ronald Pikula of Hammondsport, New York; son Steven Cambra Jr. and deceased daughter-in-law Trudy Cambra of Elk Grove, California. Loving grandchildren include Mark, Raini and her husband Glen, Neil and his wife Samantha, Max and his wife Rachael, and Heidi. Great grandchildren are; Lance, Lex, Kai, Gwendolyn, Sophia, and Madelyn. Her sisters and brothers are deceased. Mrs. Cambra is deeply loved by many relatives and friends that she loved, laughed with and enjoyed!

Final services are Viewing 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Rosary at 5:30 p.m. on August 26th at the Oakdale Memorial Chapel. Her Catholic mass will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on August 27th in Oakdale, California. She will be laid to rest at the Tracy Public Cemetery.
