June Elizabeth Oden died on October 5, 2024 at 90 years old in Oakdale, CA.

June Oden (Serpa) was born in Livermore, CA on April 29, 1934 and was married to Jesse E. Oden. She lived in Oakdale for over 50 years. June was a homemaker, mother to four children, was very proud of the work she did running Assemblyman Carmen Perino’s Oakdale district office and worked for many years at Doctors Hospital in Modesto, CA.

June played softball for much of her life and for many teams in Livermore, Oakdale and Valley Home. With her pitching and hitting she helped her team secure many wins and even the Oakdale Women’s Softball League Championships. On the field she made many special memories playing alongside her two daughters.

June was preceded in death by her husband and her two daughters, Janice Brennan and Sandy Oden. June will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother by her two surviving sons, Ralph Oden, Bruce Oden; son-in-law, James Brennan; her four grandchildren, Kira Earhart, Jessica Brennan, Mary Brennan, Alfred Brennan; and three great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on October 22, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery followed by a luncheon in honor of June’s life at the home of James Brennan directly after.
