Jeanne Valerie Tanghe died peacefully on Friday, Jan. 27 at her home in Almond, Wisconsin.
She was born in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin but moved at an early age to Hayward and later, to Livermore where she had a long and productive life.
She spent several months in Oakdale each year, visiting with family.
Mrs. Tanghe had varied activities that included interior decorating, real estate investing, genealogy, and traveling to Hawaii.
She is survived by her son, Michael Tanghe of Modesto; daughter, Valerie Roek of Oakdale; sister, Sharon Ditmore of Almond, Wisc.; and two grandchildren, Christopher Roek and Arianna Tanghe.
She was preceded in death by her husband and high school sweetheart, Robert Tanghe.
Per her request, no services. She asked that each person who knew her to take time to remember and celebrate her in their own way.
