Kenny passed away peacefully in his home with his family by his side.
Kenny was born in Rogersville, Alabama. He moved to Saint David, Arizona with his family as a child. He moved to Southern California where he met his wife Shirley. They moved with their family to Modesto in 1968. They had a home built in Valley Home in 1978 where they have resided for the last 41 years. Kenny enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, fishing and gardening. Kenny was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharlene Rivinius, his grandson, Andrew Rivinius, his parents, and brothers J.R., Wesley and Newton. He will be missed by his wife of 63 years, Shirley, sons Kenneth (Cheri), Steven (Kimberly), daughter, Cheryl, brothers, L.C., and Bill, sisters Betty and Virginia, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was an active member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church and belonged to the Knights of Columbus. His occupation was a heavy duty commercial tech.
Visitation is Thursday, July 25th from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Rosary following from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Oakdale Memorial Chapel. Celebration mass is Friday, July 26th at 10 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Oakdale with burial following at Saint John’s Cemetery in Escalon.
