George passed away peacefully at his home in Oakdale on Oct. 6th. He was born and raised in Walla Walla, WA. He later received his teaching degree at Eastern Washington University. He moved to California and became a middle school teacher and football coach in Pleasanton. He enjoyed traveling in his RV with his wife, Linda. They especially enjoyed the coast.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda; son, Jack; step-daughter, Leslie; sister, Shirley Newman; various nieces and nephews; as well as, close family and friends in Walla Walla.
George is preceded in death by his mother and father, Martha and Jack Wagner; step-daughter Laurie; and sister, Marge.
A private service with family and friends was held in October at the Northern Veteran’s Cemetery in Redding, CA.
He will be greatly missed and is now home with the Lord.
