Donald Fay Welch was born Nov. 13, 1939 to Avery and Josie Lee Welch. He passed on September 12, 2023. The Welch family moved from Texas to California and was in the Burl business.

Don was in the Navy from 1959-1964. Don retired from AAA after working there 20 years. He then moved with his wife to Oakdale and began work at the Senior Center there.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, sons Jeff and Mike, his step-son Mark, his twin brother Ronald, brother Jesse, and sisters Nina and Patsy. Don is survived by his wife Peggy of 47 years, and step-children Penny, Brian and Keith.

Don will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial will be held on Friday, Oct. 13 at 11 a.m., at Life Community Church, 105 E. G St., Oakdale. His burial will be at San Joaquin Valley Memorial, at a later date.
