Dena Nelson passed away peacefully into the Lord’s arms on July 21, 2015 at Doctors Hospital surrounded by family and friends.
She was born September 6, 1964 in Oakdale to the late Dean Nelson and Ardyce (Kellas) Nelson. She grew up in the Oakdale-Riverbank area and graduated from Riverbank High in 1982. After high school she worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken where she met her future husband, Mark Clinkenbeard. They married in 1987 and raised two sons. They divorced in 2009.
She was predeceased by her father, Dean Nelson and brother Billy Nelson.
She is survived by her sons, Jeremy (Samantha) Clinkenbeard of Sonora and Kevin Clinkenbeard of Stockton, mother Ardyce Boyd of Oakdale and sister Annie Nelson of Modesto.
She was a devoted friend, touching many lives and will be greatly missed. Burial will be private.
