Corrie Elizabeth Shore, born on June 6, 1937, in Bellflower, California, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2024, at the age of 87, surrounded by her loving family. Her final wish was to celebrate Thanksgiving at home, which she fulfilled, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Corrie was the eldest of seven children born to Henry and Polly Hoffman. She graduated from St. Anthony High School in Long Beach in 1955, where she was crowned “May Queen,” a testament to her grace and charm. During her high school years, she met her future husband, Paul Shore. The couple married on February 11, 1956, and built a beautiful family and life together. They initially settled in Lakewood, California, before moving to Chandler, Arizona, and finally making their home in Oakdale in 1968.

Throughout her life, Corrie was a dedicated bookkeeper, supporting various family ventures, including a dairy, real estate, and a carpet cleaning business. Her professional skills were also utilized by several local doctors, where her meticulous nature and dedication were highly valued. Corrie’s unwavering faith and unconditional love for her family were hallmarks of her character, inspiring all who knew her.

Corrie cherished her role as a mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and grandmother. Her radiant smile could light up any room, and her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met. A devoted parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Corrie was actively involved in church functions and served on the collection counting committee. Additionally, she was a member of the Xi Tau Theta chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority, where she formed lifelong friendships and contributed to various charitable activities.

Corrie had many great friends and loved being with them - playing cards, attending mass, going to baseball games, and eating out. They always had something to laugh about. She also loved her favorite news station and reading books

Corrie is survived by her daughters Sandra (Roger) Berbena, Paula Burgess, Terri Mello, Mary Kay (Mark) Giannini and Carol Henderson; grandchildren Vicki (Dusty) Feeney, Josh (Monique) Berbena, Kenny (Raevin) Burgess, Justin (Kim) Berbena, Christi Alexander, Nicole Norwood, Jason (Mikala) Giannini, Cory Mello, Katie (Scott) Block, and Mikayla (Trevor) Williams; several great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. She also is survived by her sisters Toni Porter, Mary Ann (John) Fisher and Ann Marie (Danny) Keane, brother-in-law Tom (Dee Dee) Shore and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Paul, her parents, her brothers Neil, Hank, and Jim Hoffman, and son-in-law Ken Burgess.

A visitation will be held on December 15th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., followed by a Rosary at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Mass will take place on December 16th at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with interment at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice or Y.L.I Helping Hands.

Corrie Elizabeth Shore’s life was a tapestry of love, faith, and dedication. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
