We are sad to announce the passing of Christian Vicente Garcia-Ruiz at the age of 25.

Christian, also known as Chris, was born June 22, 1998 to Cristina Cano and Jose Ruiz in Oakdale, California.

Chris was born and raised in Oakdale. He attended Oakdale High School and graduated in 2016. Chris lived life to the fullest. He loved exploring new places and being adventurous. Chris traveled to different places including Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Puerto Vallarta, Saulita, Rosarito, Penjamillo, Mexico and Las Vegas. His interests were riding his motorcycle, hiking, sky diving, quading, jet skiing, swimming, cliff jumping, reading, listening to music, skateboarding, and working out. He was an active young man and enjoyed walking his dog Enzo to the river and on his Segway. Chris had a good sense of humor. He loved playing pranks and making people laugh. He enjoyed spending time with his family, girlfriend, and friends.

Christian was a successful business owner and entrepreneur since the age of 22. He was super passionate about running his business and was constantly coming up with new ideas and learning new skills to help him grow and advance. He dreamed big and put his heart into everything he did and was never afraid of challenging himself. He was a kind, smart, and handsome young man, with a big heart.

Christian is survived by his Mother, Cristina & Step-Father, Pep Cano, Grandparents Vicente Garcia, Maria & Richard Troth, Aunt and Uncle Argie & Juan Reyes, Cousins Alex & Sophia; his Father Jose Ruiz, Paternal Grandparents Juany & Ramíro Alaníz, Pepe Ruiz & Delfina; Aunts and Uncles Haydee, Gustavo, Eric, and Vanessa Ruiz.

A visitation will be held at the Oakdale Memorial Chapel, located at 830 West F Street in Oakdale, CA on Tuesday October 3rd from 4:00-7:00 PM, as well as a candlelight vigil beginning at 6:00 PM.

Additionally, a mass will be held on Wednesday, October 4th at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church located at 89 North Oak Avenue, Oakdale, CA.
