Bernie was born Bernadine Marie Brennan to Alfred and Irma Brennan on November 14, 1929 and passed away five days after her 95th birthday. Bernie grew up on Johnny Creek in Eugene, CA. She graduated eighth grade from Rosedale School, a one room school house. She then graduated from Oakdale High School, where she excelled in sports and was a cheerleader.

Bernie and husband, Glenn, met in school and married in 1950. They were charter members of OGCC where she was an outstanding golfer, winning the club championship nine consecutive times. Bernie was inducted into the club’s Hall of Fame. She was also a devoted bookkeeper for many years. Her love of golf was nothing compared to her love of family.

Bernie was preceded in death by her parents, older brother, Alfred; granddaughter, Amber; and husband, Glenn. Bernie is survived by her children Michael (Susan), Kim, David (Carol); her grandchildren, Tony (Kelly), Bo (Jackie); great grandchildren; brother, Jim Brennan; sister, Valera Cashman, and many nieces and nephews. The vigil will be held at Oakdale Memorial Chapel on December 2nd, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Rosary at 5:30 p.m. The Liturgy will be at St. Mary’s Church on December 3rd at 10 a.m. The Committal will follow immediately at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery with the reception to follow at St. Mary’s Hall in Oakdale.
