Albert was a lifelong resident of Oakdale, CA, where he spent his entire life building a deep connection to the community he loved. He served the Oakdale Joint Unified School District for 40 years, was an honorary member of the Telephone Pioneers since 1990, and a volunteer at Camp Ronald McDonald at Eagle Lake since 1991. Throughout the years, he was a familiar face contributing to the town’s growth and creating lasting relationships with those around him.
Al embodied a quiet strength and authority, often displayed in a calm and steady presence. His firm nature was rooted in a deep sense of responsibility and love for his family. Grounded in his values of hard work, dependability, and unwavering convictions, Al leaves behind a legacy of traditional yet cherished memories to be treasured by all who knew him.
Al was preceded in death by his dear wife, Jacqueline (Jackie) Marchetti. He is survived by his children: Brian Marchetti, Karen Marchetti, Laura Wright, and Marie Hintz. His spirit lives on through his six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many friends who will remember him with deep affection.
We are grateful for the time we had with him and the lessons he shared, both spoken and unspoken. His kindness, wisdom, and love will forever be etched in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Camp Ronald McDonald at Eagle Lake, a cause that was close to his heart.
Rest in peace, Grandpa Al. You are deeply missed but never forgotten.
