There is nothing like birthday festivities to brighten up an otherwise overcast Saturday afternoon! We received news from Hazel Rushman that husband, Pete’s granddaughter, Haydin Hale turned two years old on Sunday, celebrating the occasion with a party held at Chuck E. Cheese in Modesto. The birthday cake was decorated in pink and white frosting with a Cinderella theme and shared by all, with Haydin enjoying her very own small cake with a Cinderella figure on top. Enjoying the festivities for Haydin were her parents, Adam and Julie Hale of Ceres and her brothers Joshua, Chris and Brandon Hale. Others attending the festivities for Haydin were grandparents, Pete and Hazel Rushman, uncles, aunts and cousins and 12 party guests.

Our Valley Home 4-H’ers enjoyed an evening of great fun at the Annual Box Social! There was a lot of excitement as the crowd bid on brightly colored packages and the auctioneers really kept the evening moving along with their lively banter and the event was deemed a wonderful success! The 4-H’ers will now turn their attention to their community service projects and other upcoming events! In May, the 4-H’ers will be traveling to Knotts Berry Farm for a family fun trip. They will be holding a fundraiser dinner and silent auction in March to help with the cost. More details to come!
