Hi to all. Our lovely Valley Home summertime will soon be giving way to a beautiful autumn and fall season.

With fall on the way and almond harvest in full swing, please remember to mark your calendars for our annual Valley Home Fall Harvest Festival. It will be held on the last weekend of October: Saturday, October 26 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. I know it seems like it’s still far off but it will be here before we know it. If any of you have time in your busy lives to help at the Harvest Festival your help would be so very much appreciated. A couple of hours of your valuable time would be a huge help. Please call or text me, Winnie, at 209-985-5233 for more information or to volunteer.

Another sign that fall is right around the corner … those beautiful Friday night lights are once again shining brightly on our Oakdale High School football stadium. Our coaches, our football players and our cheerleaders have worked hard all summer long to be ready for a great season. It’s a special feeling when those lights come on in the Corral. It is indeed a very special place. God bless our Oakdale High Mustangs.

This week we send “Get Well Wishes” to a wonderful Valley Home lady. Our dear friend and neighbor, Nancy Osmundson, had a mishap and has been recuperating for several weeks. Nancy, we sure hope you are feeling better and are back to your usual busy self very soon.
