Hi everyone, I hope you are all well and ready for a beautiful spring. I would sincerely like to say “Thank You” to each of you that have kept my daughter Beci, myself and my family in your thoughts and prayers. We are very thankful for the blessings of our mighty God.
As I return to writing our Valley Home column, I would truly like to say “Thank You” to my dear friend, Nancy Osmundson. Nancy did such a wonderful job, sharing news, history facts, and information about our Valley Home businesses. You are very deeply appreciated, Nancy. Please remember if any of you would like to share your business information, or actually share information of any kind, please always feel free to text or email it to me … I will get it in the column as quickly as I can; this column belongs to all of us.

Our two Valley Home churches are both extending a very special invitation to each of you. You are always welcome, regardless of denomination … come worship with us at our Valley Home churches. Saints John and Luke Lutheran Church invite you to join them for worship Maundy Thursday, March 28 at noon; Good Friday, March 29 at noon; and Easter Sunday, March 31 at 8am. For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved this is the power of God … In a rapidly changing world one thing remains constant, God’s love for you. Our Saints John and Luke Lutheran Church welcomes you and is located at 4606 Michigan Avenue, Valley Home.
You are invited to a very special Easter Sunrise Service at our Valley Home Baptist Church. The beautiful sunrise service will begin at 7:30am on Easter Sunday. Refreshments and Fellowship will follow the early morning service. All are welcome, no matter what your denomination is, you are most welcome to come and enjoy this very special early morning Easter Service with us. Our Missionary Baptist Church welcomes you and is located at 13331 Valley Home Road.

We are very happy to share so much excitement for our Valley Home sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. This past Friday evening our students enjoyed a spring dance in the school gym. Oh the fun they had together, dancing and laughing the night away.
More excitement for our Valley Home students as they prepare for their trip to Washington, DC and New York. Our students will learn more about our nation’s history and see firsthand the past history of our great country. What a wonderful trip for each of them. I am sure we will hear more about their amazing trip when they return home.

I would like to end this week’s column with a huge “Happy Birthday” to two of our community’s most delightful women. Joni Silva is such a hardworking woman. Joni cares deeply for her Valley Home community and is very much loved by all of us. Debra Koppinger is an amazing woman. Debra is a friend to all, kind and caring, very much loved, and has a heart of gold. Happy Birthday, Joni and Debra.
