This week we honor the life of a most amazing and selfless man. CHP Officer Brandan Everett made such a difference in the lives of so many in the communities he served. We are forever grateful for the time he spent with us in Valley Home. We always looked forward to his visits. Years ago, Officer Everett attended our Valley Home MAC Meetings. In recent years he thrilled our Valley Home School students with big handfuls of Halloween candy on Parade Day.
On Parade Day, Officer Everett, Officer Olsen and other officers would be waiting; lights flashing, big bags of candy, and huge smiles. The kids would always be excited to make the trip around the block from Valley Home School on Halloween to see them; Officer Everett loved seeing the students and they loved him. He was special. He was important to our community; we will never forget the love he showed for each of us here in Valley Home.
CHP Officer Brandan Everett was born on October 8th, 1981 … he passed very unexpectedly from this earthly life on January 25, 2025. He will be deeply missed and forever loved and appreciated by a grateful community.
Officer Everett was a devoted family man. He was a loving husband to his beautiful wife Lindsey. Brandan and Lindsey were high school sweethearts, they shared a love so deep, it is still today what it has been over all these years … a true forever love. They are best friends, and loving partners. Brandan grew up in Tuolumne County where he went to Sonora High School. While in high school he and his buddies were well known for having a whole lot of fun. Brandan and his buddies stayed close throughout the years. They always supported each other and considered themselves forever family. Brandan and his beautiful sweetheart Lindsey graduated from high school and were married in a beautiful ceremony. This would be the start of a loving and devoted marriage. Brandan graduated from the California Highway Patrol Academy, and was assigned to the San Francisco area. He and Lindsey would have their first two daughters while living in the Bay area. Brandan was a very respected officer in the California Highway Patrol. He loved his job and every day he gave 100 percent to the communities he served. Officer Everett transferred to the Modesto CHP in 2008. It was there he would make loyal friends who also would become family to him. Friends who would stand by his side throughout the years … the stories they could tell!
It was also at this time that Brandan and Lindsey would add two more beautiful daughters to their growing family. The absolute center of Brandan’s world was his beautiful Lindsey and their precious daughters. He loved them with such a strong love; a love that will forever be in their hearts … a love that will help his girls, and Lindsey be strong and carry on. Brandan and Lindsey taught each of their daughters self-confidence, to give 100 percent and always believe in themselves. They made sure they knew how deeply each one of them were loved. Brandan was a strong believer in God and always put God first in his daily walk of life. He loved coaching and was a softball coach for many years. He loved coaching his daughters and was a devoted and caring coach to many, many other young women over the years. It was evident how much this man was loved and respected when during his celebration of life, the stage was filled with young ladies paying tribute to the life of this very special man. His softball family was much loved and was very important to Brandan.
He had a strong bond with his fellow CHP officers. They, too, will forever be a cherished part of Brandan’s family. The love and camaraderie shared by Brandan and his fellow officers was evident in the words they shared on stage last Wednesday. In a final tribute to their fellow officer and dear friend, tears flowed as they shared stories and shared the love they felt for this amazing man. Officer Everett was a California Highway Patrol officer for 22 years. He is survived by his wife Lindsey, and his daughters Delainey, Raegen, Briley, and Saige. Delainey is currently at Mississippi State, Raegen is at UC Riverside, Briley and Saige are both at Oakdale High. Brandan loved to coach softball, and he loved boating. Most of all, Brandan loved spending time with his family. Last Wednesday his four beautiful daughters took the stage and paid a loving tribute of strength and forever love to their amazing and special Dad.
Valley Home will miss this very special man.
California Highway Patrol Officer Brandan A. Everett … Rest in Heavenly Peace, our dear friend.
