My heart overflows ... It was to my great surprise this past Saturday night to have the wonderful honor of being the Grand Marshal for our 14th Annual Valley Home Lighted Christmas Parade! I feel very blessed to live in this wonderful little community of Valley Home! I treasure my family, friends, and neighbors who do so much to help keep the small town spirit of rural living alive in Valley Home. I am so grateful for those who have lived here for so many years, who years ago welcomed my family to Valley Home. I have so many happy memories of my years in Valley Home. So I thank each of you for allowing me to represent our little community, it was very special, especially since due to some health issues I wasn’t even sure I would be at our Valley Home Christmas Celebration this year! Thank you everyone, I was able to ride through the parade in a nice warm pickup truck, I was able to wave to friends, able to hear the laughter and feel the joy of this very special night! As I sat watching the lighting of our little community Christmas Tree, the sounds of Christmas carols filled the night. Across the street our warm school gym welcomed everyone inside. Delicious hams, turkeys, and delightful homemade potluck dishes were shared as our community gathered for another wonderful Valley Home Christmas! Special thank you to the Oakdale Leader’s Marg Jackson who with her caring community spirit was there as she is at so many areas events to capture these priceless memories for our community! We are very thankful for our Oakdale Rural/Stanislaus Consolidated firefighters coming to Valley Home. The kids and adults alike love to see that big red fire truck, lights flashing bringing up the end of our parade. We are very thankful for their service!
To our Valley Home 4-H, thank you for making “Christmas in Valley Home” so special!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to each of you! I hope your Christmas was blessed with many happy memories!
