Hi everyone. I hope you are all staying warm.
*****
Today, I would like to ask for special prayers for our warrior, Wyatt Jones, and all those who fight these terrible illnesses. May God look down on each one with his healing hands.
We were so hoping that Wyatt would be able to be at our Valley Home Christmas parade with us. Wyatt turns 18 on parade day … instead Wyatt is back in the hospital and will soon be transferred to Stanford Hospital in the Bay Area. Please, please pray for Wyatt as he fights this terrible disease. May God give Wyatt and his family strength to once again battle this leukemia.

We would also like to send best wishes for a very speedy recovery to our Valley Home School Superintendent Mr. Bill Slikker.

Our Fire Board monthly meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday, December 19 at 10am. The meeting will be held at our Valley Home Fire Station. I hope you all can attend this meeting; these meetings are very important to our future and the future of our fire service here in Valley Home.

This week, I would once again like to share the details of our Valley Home Lighted Christmas Parade. Our Christmas parade will take place this Saturday, December 21 at 6:30pm. It’s going to be a very special evening in our community.
All entries need to be in line at 6:15pm near the front of the Pioneer School campus. Each entry must be lighted. Entries must keep at least 10 feet between them and the next entry for safety. There are no sign ups; just be in line at 6:15pm. Parade will go three times around the block. This is a rain or shine parade.
Remember immediately after the parade we will gather at the park to light our community Christmas tree. Our Grand Marshals this year are Mr. and Mrs. Larry and Mary Ann Fraguero. The Fragueros are longtime Valley Home residents. After our Christmas tree lighting, we will sing two Christmas carols together. After the Christmas blessing, our beautiful Valley Home church bells will ring out across the night air, sending a message of hope, peace on earth and goodwill to all.
We will once again have warming fire pits, to gather around, along with tasty s’mores for all. A very special thank you to all who make this special night possible. Also we will continue to honor the memory of our sweet Bonnie with our cookie exchange: bring a dozen, take a dozen. If you are unable to bring cookies, please still join with us in honoring our beautiful Bonnie … there will be plenty of cookies for all.
I would like to send a very heartfelt “Happy Birthday” to our parade Grand Marshal, Mr. Larry Fraguero. Larry is 92 years young. Many happy returns of your special day, Larry.

Until next time … “Merry Christmas to All!”
