Hi everyone, I hope you are all well and are ready for a wonderful Thanksgiving. What a pretty time of the year it is … so many beautiful leaves changing their colors. It definitely looks like fall all around us.

Although it is still fall and Thanksgiving is almost upon us, many folks have been asking about our little Valley Home Lighted Christmas Parade. Here is a bit of information for any of you who may want to make plans to enjoy this very special Valley Home tradition. Remember if any of you have ideas you would like to share, please text me at 209-985-5233.
Our Valley Home Lighted Christmas Parade will be held this year on the last Saturday evening before Christmas; Saturday, December 21st at 6:30pm. Our parade route has changed a bit … more details to come … it is a very small change to make more room for our beautiful floats and entries.
All are welcome to enter, please remember we are each responsible for the safety of our entries and our actions; safety is most important. Please make sure all entries are lighted. Please leave at least 10 feet between you and the next entry. There are no signups; just be in line in front of the Park and the School before 6:15pm on December 21st. Our Grand Marshal will be announced after our Thanksgiving holiday. We will once again honor the memory of our beautiful Bonnie with a Christmas Cookie Exchange (bring a dozen … take a dozen) after the parade. For those who would like to honor Bonnie, please bring a dozen or so cookies to share. Bonnie loved her cookies, especially her very own delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies. Cookies may be dropped off at the corner table in the Park Pavilion with Tena Heaton. Christmas bags will be provided so that all who would like can take home a dozen to enjoy.
Many of you will remember that years ago our Valley Home 4-H members and our community members came together after our little Christmas Parade to share a beautiful Christmas potluck dinner. This year we will bring that much loved tradition back. We will set up tables in the park and for each of you who would like to share a Christmas potluck dish, please bring your dish to share.
Immediately following the Lighted Christmas Parade, our Grand Marshal will light our beautiful Community Christmas Tree in the park, we will sing two Christmas carols together, share a holiday prayer together … and enjoy a delicious Christmas community potluck dinner together.
We are hoping for snow again this year in the park and if we all wish really, really hard upon a Christmas star … we may just get to hear very special bells calling us to Christmas dinner in the park. More info to come.
