Hi everyone, I hope you are all well. I wanted to share with you the appreciation I have for our Fire Board and each of our first responders! Our Fire Board has worked tirelessly to try to save our district, each of them has given up countless hours with their families. Hours that they will never get back … and they did this for all of us.

This past week they shared with those in attendance at the Fire Board meeting in Valley Home much important information. It is vital that we get involved … it really is and really could be a life-or-death situation for any of us. We desperately need our Fire Department to be saved; we need a quick response. Please make your voice heard. Our Board is working hard for us; the next meeting will be in Knights Ferry with the date to be announced. Let’s support those who have worked so hard for us.

Also happening this past Saturday evening in Valley Home, such a beautiful night, our Valley Home Fall Harvest Festival was very, very well attended. Our tri tip dinner to support Wyatt was supported by so many wonderful and gracious folks. We completely sold out every dinner and had folks still ready to purchase a dinner in support of Wyatt. It was a very special night indeed. We were hoping so much that Wyatt would be out of the hospital for Harvest Festival; we will keep praying he will be home soon. For each of you who supported Wyatt with purchasing a dinner or by donating, he and his family are so grateful.

I would like to say “Thank you” to all who helped in any way to make our Valley Home Fall Harvest Festival such a wonderful success. You are deeply appreciated … what a grand night. Our first responders were amazing, we were blessed with Oakdale High School senior Maddy Hammond singing our National Anthem; she did such a beautiful job, folks had tears in their eyes. Immediately following Maddy was Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Lieutenant and Pastor, Brock Condit, who offered a very heartfelt prayer for Wyatt and for each of us. It was an amazing night. Our hard-working student helpers from both Oakdale and Escalon high schools are very much appreciated, we couldn’t do this without them. We are thankful for our Stanislaus County Supervisor Buck Condit who served at Wyatt’s dinner, working hard all evening. It really was a special night; what a great blessing this evening was in so many ways. Please know that each of you who helped in any way; you made this a wonderful evening in Valley Home … our cup runneth over.

May God bless and keep each of you … keep you healthy and happy as we all enjoy a beautiful fall season.
