Hello to each of you. It is finally cooling off a bit, just in time for our Fall Harvest Festival this Saturday evening, October 26th. I hope you all will come, enjoy this beautiful fall season … have a delicious dinner and support Wyatt. Tri Tip dinners are $15 and include yummy seasoned tri-tip, a serving of Valley Home Community Cookbook beans, a dinner roll and a beautiful garden salad. All money from the dinner will go to Wyatt and his family that evening.

There will be so much fun to be had by all ages at the festival. Hot dogs, nachos and chili will be served inside the gym at the Harvest Kitchen, located near our exciting Bingo Game and Silent Auction area. Class Baskets will be stashed full of so many goodies. Visit our Sweet Shoppe, have your photo taken at the photo booth, enjoy cotton candy or have an ice cold slushie. Sit and visit with friends and neighbors or take a ride on our “Haunted Hay Ride” – prepare to scream, Irma’s going to be pretty creepy so the hay ride is probably not for all; yikes! Back inside the gym enjoy hot coffee, regular or flavored, while outside Sierra 4-H will have an amazing Petting Zoo. Hear our beautiful Maddy Hammond sing during the evening, followed by a Harvest Prayer with Sheriff’s Lieutenant and Pastor Brock Condit. Come one … come all! Valley Home School, this Saturday evening, 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

I have very important community news to share with you … we all need to show up at the Fire Board meeting on Thursday, October 24th … this is an extremely important meeting. It is important to all who are in our Fire District. Our insurance rates are going to skyrocket; that is if we can even get or keep our current fire insurance. I honestly never thought mine would be cancelled but it was. Things may get a lot worse. Let’s hope they get better. We really need to be there Thursday morning at 10am and hear what is going to happen to our Fire District. We have just lost another fire board member; our board members have put their heart and soul into trying to save our Fire District. It is very scary; please if you care, please come tomorrow morning.

The meeting is at 10am at the Valley Home Fire Station, 13200 Valley Home Road, across from the General Store.
