Hi everyone. I hope each of you are doing well and enjoying this fall weather. It’s such a special time of the year. This morning I took a little walk … not a long walk … but I did get in a few steps. I really enjoyed seeing the beautiful fall colored leaves down by the creek. The leaves are just starting to change colors and fall to the ground. The rustic deep red orange color, along with the brownish, yellow colors made for a beautiful and very peaceful walk along the little creek bank. I hope each one of you are in a place that you can see the fall leaves change as Autumn draws near … please take the time to enjoy God’s great beauty and his amazing blessings.

This week I would like to share an exciting upcoming event. You are all invited to the Valley Home Fall Vendor Fair on Saturday, November 11th. This exciting event brings our community and the surrounding areas together each year in the early fall. Come on out to Valley Home for a fun filled day of holiday shopping, delicious food, and so much more. Get there early and be ready to stay late. Vendors will welcome you at 9am on Saturday morning. There will definitely be something for everyone. Start your holiday shopping … there will be delicious and hearty fall baked goods, beautiful home décor, holiday gifts and much, much more. This event is very special. Mrs. Matos’ “Portuguese Sweet Bread” will be available until it is all gone … be sure to get yours early. From noon to 2pm you can enjoy a delicious tri tip meal, just $15 for adults and only $8 for kids 10 and under. The tri tip meal will include Portuguese beans, cookie and a drink. Get your tickets while they last; please call Christina Barreto at 209-499-4160 for tickets or more information. Your ticket stub enters you into an amazing gift basket raffle. All proceeds will benefit Valley Home 6th, 7th, and 8th graders for their Washington, DC and New York trip in April. Please come …Valley Home MAC meeting on Wednesday, October 11th, 6:30pm in the Bonnie Gellerman multi-purpose building, Valley Home School. Our first responders, CHP, fire and sheriff will be there along with county officials, County Supervisor Buck Condit and our School Superintendent to share information and answer your questions.
