At the Thursday, Feb. 2 meeting of the Escalon/Farmington Garden Club, members and guests were treated to a program presented by guest speaker Ron Crump. He gave a lecture about the importance of bee pollinators and their benefits to agriculture. He talked about taking care of the bees and how many varieties of bees there are. Among the information he shared: When there are no blooms on trees and flowers early in the season the beekeepers must feed the bees every three days until the blooms appear on trees or plants.
