The annual sock drive being hosted this year in Oakdale has several drop off locations now available.

During the month of October there will be collections bins at different business locations for you to drop off donations of new adult socks. Once collected, they will be distributed to those in need, as officials note that socks are one of the most in-demand items at shelters and among the homeless population. The City of Oakdale and Stanislaus County are cooperating in the effort.

Drop off locations in the city include: Oakdale Fit Nutrition, Fit Republic, Cocina Michoacana; River Oak Pharmacy; The Corral Sandwich Shop; Morris Engineering & Surveying; Public Works Yard; and Oakdale City Hall.

Friday, Oct. 8 will be Super Hero sock day; Oct. 15 is Holiday sock day; Oct. 22, Food sock day; Oct. 29, Halloween sock day.
