It was a busy sale day on Saturday, April 2 for members of the Escalon-Farmington Community Garden Club, with just under $2,300 raised through the sale of flowering plants and vegetables, along with succulents.
Tables were set up on the yard outside the Escalon United Methodist Church along Jackson Avenue in Escalon for shoppers to peruse the various offerings.
Coming off that event, the club members will host their next meeting on Thursday, April 7.
Set for 1 p.m. at Trinity Church, 1900 California St., Escalon, the program will be ‘Iris: Beauty with Low Water and Little Care’ put on by club member Lorraine Nicholson, AIS Master Judge, grower and enthusiast.
Learn how to grow in every spot in the garden; the iris will provide lovely fragrance and a wide spectrum of color.
