Celebrating this first year in business, owners Christian and Nayeli Vázquez could not be more delighted to continue to bring customers a taste of Palo Santo Café. This past Saturday they had live music in celebration and some specials.

“It (celebration) was great, we had a wonderful time; our customers were able to enjoy live music from the romantic duo Sol y Luna,” expressed Nayeli about the celebration on Feb. 11. “We had a full house. It was a great time.”

The official one-year anniversary for the Café was on Monday, Feb. 13 and they offered guests a few specials to show their appreciation.

“It has been a true pleasure, we have grown so much in just a year,” said Nayeli. “We are so thankful with our staff and customers.”

Since the beginning the menu has grown as well as their clientele. They started out with the Espresso Bar, gelato, and pastries that included keto and gluten free options. With the husband-and-wife duo having ties to the restaurant industry since they were young, the thought to offer guests food options was part of the plan.

“We offer a full menu including many brunch items such as chilaquiles and chorizo con papas,” added Nayeli. “We also have added lots of amazing salads and soups for lunch. We offer different toast options such as our delicious ultimate guacamole toast and our everything avocado toast. Both sweet and savory crepes and we offer catering.”

Last year the couple held a soft opening on Super Bowl Sunday that was a great success. They had their celebration on Saturday and were open once again on Super Bowl Sunday. They are open six days a week and closed on Tuesdays except for this past Tuesday, which was Valentine’s Day.

When asked what is their favorite part about owning a café in Riverbank they said, “Seeing the enjoyment in the faces of our customers as they enjoy our homemade gelatos and delicious food.”

They plan on expanding their drink options to include beer and wine to offer guests Mimosas and micheladas.

They are located in the O’Brien’s Shopping Center at 6333 Oakdale Road, Suite I. For more information visit Palo Santo Café on Instagram or Facebook or call 209-502-7213.
