Residents from throughout the region can kick start their year by investigating the chance for a new career later this month.
The Oakdale Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with Opportunity Stanislaus and the City of Oakdale, is hosting a Career Fair, scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 17 from 4 p.m.to 6 p.m.
The event will be staged at the Gene Bianchi Community Center, 110 S. Second Ave., Oakdale.
Attendees will be able to check out career positions and opportunities in health care, manufacturing, hospitality and more.
Among the participating employers already signed up to attend are Foster Farms, Select Harvest U.S.A., Astoria Senior Living and Memory Care, Chicken Ranch Casino, Spark, Stellar Career College and Boyett Petroleum. Also due on site are Oak Valley Hospital District, Sierra Pacific Industries, High Tek Professional Packaging Services, Oakdale Joint Unified School District, Hi-Tech Emergency Vehicle Service, Inc. and California Natural Products. The DHG/Dhillon Healthcare Group and Addus Homecare are slated to have representatives on hand with information and potential job opportunities as well.
The goal of the Jan. 17 event, officials said, is to bring together a wide cross section of the region’s employers, looking for qualified employees to join their respective teams. Additional employers may be added prior to the event date.
There is no cost to attend and the 2024 Career Fair is open to all those interested throughout the region.
