Machado named to top Center for Human Services post

Center for Human Services (CHS), a local nonprofit organization dedicated to serving Stanislaus County for over 54 years, recently welcomed a new Executive Director. Gina Machado, named to the top spot, previously served as the Development and Operations Director, and has been involved with the organization in multiple capacities since 2001.

Machado has dedicated over two decades to supporting the agency’s mission of changing lives, building futures and helping families. Beginning as a volunteer in 2001, her commitment led her to join the Board of Trustees in 2008, marking the start of her impactful journey within CHS.

Machado has held various roles within CHS, including Capital Campaign Liaison, Corporate Giving Officer, Major Gifts Officer, Director of Development and Communications, and Development and Operations Director. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), and brings over 15 years of experience in banking, finance, and sales.

She is also actively engaged with the communities in which she works and lives. She currently serves as the Chapter President for the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Yosemite Chapter, a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum, a member of the Modesto Rotary Club and a School Site Council Member at her child’s school.

In her personal life, Machado and her husband of 17 years, Steve, are the parents of three boys, ages 14, 12 and 11, who are active in school and sports.

Center for Human Services is a local nonprofit that offers concrete support to families and individuals in times of need, provides opportunities for people to build new skills, and builds partnerships with individuals, families and communities to help them help themselves.
