The 72nd Annual Awards Dinner, hosted by the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce, is on the schedule for Jan. 18, 2019 at the Gene Bianchi Community Center, 110 S. Second Ave., Oakdale.

The dinner, according to Chamber officials, will honor those “who worked unselfishly by dedicating their time to improve the quality of life in Oakdale, by helping others, in 2018.”

Business of the Year nominees are Community Hospice, Infinite Athletics Cheer and Tumbling, Kristine’s Designer Clothing, Me and My Feet, and SaveMart.

Citizen of the Year nominees are Barbara Vasko, Cherilyn Bairos, Fred Rich and Mike Bacigalupi. In the running as the top Community Organization for 2018 are Central Valley Association Realtors, Family Support Network, Love Oakdale, Native Daughters of the Golden West Oakdale, Pacific Project Heroes, VFW Post 2922. Junior Achievement nominees are Caleb Bairos, Grace Verdegaal, Kaeli Sweet and Tavin Barry.

Special recognition will be given to the Thompson Sisters with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
