Oakdale Police are looking for a lone individual suspected of robbing two 7-11 convenience stores in the early a.m. hours on Friday, Oct. 4.
At 3:07 a.m. police units responded to the 7-11 store located on the 700 block of East F Street when the store clerk called 9-1-1 to report a subject attempted to rob the store at gunpoint. Nothing was taken and the suspect fled the area.
Eight minutes later the clerk from the 7-11 store on the west end of the city in the 1100 block of West F Street reported the store had just been robbed and the suspect bolted after obtaining an unknown amount of cash.
The suspect description from the second incident matched the suspect description of the earlier robbery.
Both incidents are under investigation.
Oakdale Police Sergeant Brian Shimmel said police were obtaining possible video from both incidents but had to wait until later in the day to gain access.
The suspect was described as a white male, between 17 to 21, 5’8” to 6’ tall, with dark hair and eyes. He was seen wearing a dark brimmed baseball cap, a grey baggy hoodie and matching sweat pants and red soled tennis shoes. Police state the robber was using a black bandana as a mask and was also wearing gloves.
