In what could have been a record short session, members of the Oakdale City Council on Monday night had very little business to attend to, with the holidays fast approaching and city offices due for closure on Monday in observance of Christmas.
The regular council meeting of Dec. 18 had a light agenda, including a presentation of a Certificate of Appreciation to Planning Commission Chairperson Wayne Pacheco acknowledging his service.
There were also two public hearings on the schedule, both of which were continued until the Tuesday, Jan. 16 meeting, one dealing with several sections included in the zoning regulations and the other in connection with rules and regulations governing sewage disposal.
A handful of department reports were offered and the council was reminded that the next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 16 because of the Martin Luther King Junior holiday observance on Monday, Jan. 15.
Also, the City of Oakdale offices will be closed both Monday, Dec. 25 and Monday, Jan. 1 for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.
