During these past few months, the weather has stayed warmer longer than normal, and a local watering holes has been on hand to quench that thirst. Last Call Brewing Company, now in its tenth year of business, started with a production facility near the industrial park in Oakdale and has now grown to include that original facility plus a large taproom and tasting room in downtown Oakdale. The tasting room is at 159 N. First Ave., in Oakdale; it opened its doors in 2019 to rave reviews.
As these last five years have passed though, the tasting room has become increasingly crowded and sometimes patrons had to snag a table on the patio or just wait for a seat to open up.
“We were growing and we were ready to expand. We needed more space for our everyday patrons,” said Taproom Manager and Social Media Director Jake Stephens.
He emphasized that Last Call Brewing Company is not a bar but rather a gathering place for friends and family.
“This is a safe space for anyone, a place to unwind and get to know your neighbors in the community and we wanted to maintain that,” said Stephens.
Construction on the expansion began in July of this year and took about three months to complete with their official unveiling of the expansion in late September. Highlights of the expansion include a lounge area complete with cozy and comfortable lounge chairs and sofas for those that might want to converse in a more intimate setting. The expansion also included the addition of larger group tables and an area for musical performers to share their sounds with the crowd.
Though locals are thrilled to have Last Call Brewing Company here, officials at Visit California Travel and Tourism also took note of the business and its popularity and will be featuring it in their upcoming 2025 California Visitors Guide.
“We are thrilled and honored with the idea that we will be reaching potentially millions of travelers and that they know they can stop by and share some great conversation with people from all over,” Stephens said.
Visit California provides travelers from all over the world with information regarding the many unique landscapes and adventures that California has to offer and Last Call Brewing Co. will be a part of those features in the next edition.
