Knights Ferry School is officially back in session! Along with Dr. J and the teaching staff, the school has many resources including custodian, Ms. Watson, 1:1 aides, Ms. Burke and Ms. Velasco, resource teacher, Mrs. Noon, speech pathologist Mrs. Curtis, and speech pathology assistant, Ms. Miller. The students are set up to have a successful and exciting school year. Welcome back to school, Bobcats!

Speaking of bobcats, there was a recent sighting of a live bobcat who got a hold of a local chicken in town. Living in the country has many positives including encountering wild animals (hopefully from a distance) but it was sad to see a local chicken joining the circle of life as bobcat dinner.

Last week there was a solo vehicle accident that blocked off the cement bridge for a few hours forcing traffic to reroute back down the highway to Orange Blossom. If you have ever had that unfortunate luck, it can add quite a bit of travel time!

The Odd Fellows are starting a new monthly activity and everyone is invited! On the fourth Wednesday of every month at 6pm, they are holding a potluck social. Everyone is invited to bring a dish to share and to enjoy socializing with the community.
