Knights Ferry News 2-5-25

Knights Ferry School celebrated Lunar New Year last Wednesday with their very own Dragon Parade! The students are busy planting in the garden boxes at school. The Junior High students have an elective class called Culinary Arts where the students are growing gardens so they may learn to prepare and eat them later. The younger grades are planting in their garden boxes with aspirations to host a little farm stand. They have sent home herbs and vegetables through their summer program in the past. Through the generous grant funding from the Raymus Foundation and Make Dreams Real Foundation, the school was able to collaborate with Jessica Thompson of Plant Patience to teach the students about local plants and a healthy garden!
