Don’t forget to pick up some candy to hand out to the Knights Ferry students when they parade downtown on Main Street at 11am on Halloween, October 31st! If you are planning to travel through town during this time, please expect delays and drive slowly to keep the kids safe!

Knights Ferry is going to be gorgeous on Pumpkin Roll Sunday! Town will be busy from the morning until the afternoon with Pumpkin Roll festivities. Pumpkin Roll information: November 3rd on Main Street, sign-ups begin at 10am and small kids roll at 12pm, vendor booths open at 9am, pancake breakfast opens at 8am. I saw a sneak peak of this year’s T-shirts and they are definitely going to sell out! Go by and pick up your shirt in the morning. Pick up your shirt in front of the Community Club! The Pumpkin Roll is a Community Club fundraiser and donations are accepted to roll a pumpkin. The pumpkins are donated by Perry and Sons Market in Manteca. They are reused for each age group. There will be plenty of places to eat, drink, and shop in town! Be sure to bring your family and friends out to enjoy a little small-town fun! Also, if you have large trucks, trailers, motorhomes, etc., consider an alternative route because Main Street is closed for a large part of the day and the detoured traffic route is very narrow and some large rigs are not able to make the sharp turns. Tell your friends and family if they might be affected by the detour!

The Knights Ferry School Superintendent-Principal, Dr. J has announced her retirement at the end of the school year. The staff, parents, and community members are invited to an informal and interactive special board meeting in the school cafeteria on November 7th from 3pm-5pm for all to share input with the board members regarding the search for the next Superintendent-Principal for Knights Ferry School.
