Mark the calendar for the weekend of April 9 and 10 and plan to visit the Heart of the Valley Quilt and Textile Arts Show. It will be staged at Modesto Junior College West Campus, ACE Pavilion, in Modesto. Admission is $10 with those 12 and under admitted free.

The Modesto Quilt Show is the largest in the Central Valley and this year will feature Alex Anderson, a quilter, teacher, author and fabric designer who also hosts an online quilt show.

Also included in the show will be displays of traditional, modern and art quilts, there will be a raffle, handmade items at a boutique, drawing for prize baskets and a variety of vendors.
