Hazardous, E-waste, tire recycling event Saturday
city oak

The City of Oakdale Department of Public Services has scheduled a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW), Electronic Waste (E-Waste), and Tire Recycling Day for Saturday, Oct. 5. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to noon, or until capacity is reached, at the Public Services Corp Yard, at 455 S. Fifth Ave., Oakdale.

Residents are invited to responsibly dispose of their household hazardous wastes, including used oil, paint, car batteries, antifreeze, and sharps. In addition to HHW, participants can also bring electronic waste such as computers, monitors, TVs, keyboards, cables, and microwaves. Please note that bulbs, ink, large printers, and copiers will not be accepted.

Each household is limited to six tires of any size for recycling. This event is a great opportunity for community members to ensure these materials are disposed of safely and sustainably.

For more information, residents can contact Jenny Thompson at the City of Oakdale Public Services by calling (209) 845-3698 or emailing jthompson@oakdaleca.gov.

City officials encourage all residents to take advantage of this free recycling event to help keep Oakdale clean and environmentally friendly.
