The Riverbank Chamber of Commerce helped with a grand opening at Hotworx exercise spa on Wednesday, Jan. 11, in the Crossroads Shopping Center.
Hotworx owner Mike Wilkins, along with employees, and family members, daughter Becky Dixon, son Wyatt Wilkins and daughter Summer Wilkins, held a ceremonial ribbon cutting, assisted by the Chamber members.
The Hotworx system is franchised out of Louisiana, according to Wilkins, and took him about two years to remodel the storefront he is located in, 2251-H Claribel Road, on the southwest corner of the center.
The Hotworx slogan is “Earn the Burn — a fusion of heat, infrared energy and exercise.”
It is a virtually instructed exercise program created for users to experience the many benefits of infrared heat absorption, while completing a 30-minute Isometric workout or 15-minute High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) session. As the infrared heat penetrates your body causing you to sweat, the isometric postures further accelerate detoxification by physically removing the toxins from your organs through muscle contraction.
In addition to Riverbank Chamber board members participating, Corrine Santos and Bill Robinson, members of the Riverbank City Council were on hand to welcome the new business. Mayor Richard D. O’Brien, Vice Mayor Rachel Hernandez, and Darlene Barber-Martinez, who is also a chamber board member, were on hand and presented Wilkins with a proclamation, as did County District 1 Supervisor Buck Condit.
