Coming up in November, it’s the second annual Cornhole Fundraising Tournament hosted by Escalon Strong. The competition, set for Saturday, Nov. 2 in Escalon’s Main Street Park, will be scored by representatives of Oakdale’s Smokin Oaks Cornhole. Download the Scoreholio App and register your team today for the tournament.

“This year’s event is a family friendly event so come out to Main Street Park and enjoy,” said coordinator Morgan Gregg.

Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase through Tacos de Nieve, with other activities including Face Painting by Sonya and yard games for youngsters. F&M Bank is sponsoring live music from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., featuring local favorite, Gotcha Covered.

There will also be a display of classic cars and trucks to add to the fun.

The cornhole tournament is open to all ages. Team registration is $50 and event check-in starts at 9 a.m.; bags will fly at 10 a.m.

“There will be first, second, third and fourth place prizes,” Gregg added, with the Grand Prize being presented courtesy of Strand Ace Hardware, an Ooni Pizza Oven.

Escalon Strong is a California non-profit organization. Donations support The Giving Pantry food sharing program, Senior Citizen housing projects, Community Garden, Youth Sports and more.

“We have sponsorship opportunities for local businesses and families who want to support,” Gregg said. “Visit our Facebook page “Escalon Strong” for details. Your support is greatly appreciated.”
